Financial Transparency Statement:

Detailed budget projections for all active grants and programs.

  • Records of personal investments (to date, all startup costs have been covered by the founder).

  • Publicly shared annual reports once available.

We will undergo independent audits as our funding grows, per nonprofit best practices. Until then, we welcome specific inquiries and will provide relevant documentation upon request."

Governance:

As a new nonprofit, Memento Mei is actively forming our Board of Directors to ensure robust governance. Current oversight is led by Christina Tengelin, Founder, with guidance from advisors specializing in disability advocacy, emergency preparedness, and nonprofit management.

Advisors’ names and affiliations can be shared upon request for legitimate disclosure needs (e.g., grant applications). We look forward to announcing our formal Board in early 2026.

Memento Mei is dedicated to accountability at every stage of our growth.

As we scale, we pledge to:

  1. Publish annual impact reports (starting 2026, or earlier if funding is acquired).

  2. Transition to independent audits when fiscally viable.

  3. Center community voices in governance (60% of Board seats will be held by disabled self-advocates).
